As the Lunar New Year festivities gradually fade, enterprises across Suqian City are swiftly resuming operations, ramping up production, and racing to fulfill orders in pursuit of a robust first-quarter performance.
On the morning of February 4, inside the production workshop of Jiangsu Youfu Thin Plate Technology Co., Ltd., located in Shuyang County, workers were operating large-scale machinery in an orderly manner, pressing raw materials into thin iron sheets. The factory was bustling with activity. To ensure continuous production, the company had remained operational during the holiday period, and today, it reached full production capacity, going all out to secure orders and meet delivery deadlines. Specializing in high-end tinplate manufacturing, the company has a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan, an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons, and exports to over 60 countries and regions, with an annual invoiced revenue of 4 billion yuan.
“We plan to further increase investment this year, optimize equipment utilization, improve production processes, expand our business scale, and drive double-digit growth in production and sales. Our goal is to strengthen and refine high-end tinplate manufacturing,” said Liang Zepeng, General Manager of Jiangsu Youfu Thin Plate Technology Co., Ltd.
To ensure the stable and healthy operation of the city’s industrial economy and achieve a strong start in the first quarter, local governments have proactively provided support to enterprises. Various measures have been implemented to facilitate post-holiday work resumption, including comprehensive surveys, visits to local businesses to understand their production plans, labor demands, and sales challenges, as well as active promotion of supportive policies. These efforts encourage businesses to retain employees and accelerate their return to full production.
At Suqian Qijun New Material Technology Co., Ltd., located in Suyu District, production lines are running at full capacity. Specializing in high-end metal materials, the company has an annual output of 3,000 tons, with products widely used in industrial equipment upgrades, shipbuilding, and electrified railways. Since its production launch in July last year, the company has secured a steady stream of orders, achieving nearly 6 million yuan in invoiced revenue within the same year. With ample orders for 2025, the local government assisted in recruitment efforts before the holiday, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new employees.
“Our order schedule for the first half of 2025 is already full. To meet demand, we have launched a third production line to expand our capacity. Our goal for 2025 is to reach 1 billion yuan in total sales, with invoiced revenue expected to hit 70 to 80 million yuan,” said Shi Zhibao, Deputy General Manager of Suqian Qijun New Material Technology Co., Ltd.
With an accelerated start, all efforts are focused on securing a strong first-quarter performance. This year, local governments and departments will concentrate on ensuring economic stability, expediting enterprise work resumption, and driving investment and project development. According to preliminary statistics, as of the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, over 1,000 enterprises in Suqian had resumed operations. By the Lantern Festival, more than 2,500 enterprises are expected to be back in operation, with a resumption rate exceeding 93%.
