Roberts Metal Packaging is set to present its latest premium metal packaging solutions at Luxe Pack Monaco 2025, including a standout collaboration with Swiss brand Puralpina. This partnership has already earned a nomination for UK Packaging Awards 2025, in the “Metal Pack of the Year: Decorative & General Line” category.
Puralpina, known for its 100% natural deodorant crèmes, sought a container that combines style, sustainability, and functionality for both 50 ml full-size and 15 ml travel-size versions. The product line comes in four scents: lavender, mint, natural, and bergamot.
Roberts answered with its SOFTLINE aluminium jar range, manufactured in their London facility using fully automated press-lines. Features include:
Smooth‐rounded edges
Light knurling on lids for better grip
EPE liners to ensure leak-proof sealing
The jars & lids are fully recyclable aluminium, coated internally with a BPANI lacquer to protect product integrity, while the finish on the outside is minimalistic to align with Puralpina’s clean, natural brand identity.

What the People Behind the Product Say

“We’re excited to bring our collaboration with Puralpina to Luxe Pack Monaco this year. This project shows how aluminium packaging can achieve the highest standards of functionality and sustainability, qualities that resonate with today’s conscious consumers.”
Industry Insight: Why This Collaboration Matters
Rising Demand for Eco-Packaging in Cosmetics
The cosmetics industry is under increasing scrutiny from regulators and consumers alike to reduce plastic usage, improve recyclability, and adopt sustainable materials. Aluminium, being infinitely recyclable and durable, is gaining favor. This Puralpina / Roberts collaboration is a good example of balancing eco-credentials with premium aesthetics—two attributes often seen as trade-offs.
Manufacturer’s Perspective: Technical & Production Considerations
From Roberts’ standpoint, producing such aluminium jars means investing in:
Automated high-precision press lines to maintain consistent quality
R&D for durable internal lacquers (like BPANI) that don’t impart undesired taste or chemical interaction
Design engineering to ensure seal integrity (e.g., use of liners, knurled lids)
These are nontrivial cost & engineering efforts, but they pay off when a brand like Puralpina positions itself as natural and luxury, appealing to consumers who will pay a premium and expect sustainability.
What’s Next & Where to See It
This Roberts × Puralpina aluminium jar range will be showcased at Stand RA05 in Luxe Pack Monaco. This public debut follows the UK Packaging Awards nomination. Visitors will be able to compare different sizes (50 ml / 15 ml), finishes, and functional design features up close.
